Long term simulation analysis of deceased donor initiated chains in kidney exchange programs

چکیده
Kidney exchange programs (KEPs) aim to find compatible kidneys for recipients with incompatible donors. Patients without a living donor depend upon deceased (DD) donations get kidney transplant. In India, ©DD donates directly a©DD wait-list. The idea of initiating an chain starting from is proposed in few articles (and executed Italy 2018), but no mathematical formulation has been given this merger. We have introduced integer programming that creates ©DD-initiated chains, considering both paired registry and allocations simultaneously addressing the overlap issue between wait-list as can register registries independently. A long-term simulation study done ©analyse gain these DD-initiated chains over time. It suggests even small numbers ©DDs, significantly increase potential transplants.

Deceased-donor kidney transplantation: improvement in long-term survival.
BACKGROUND Despite marked improvement in short-term renal allograft survival rates (GSR) in recent years, improvement in long-term GSR remained elusive. METHODS We analysed the kidney transplant experience at our centre accrued over four decades to evaluate how short-term and long-term GSR had changed and to identify risk factors affecting graft survival. The study included 1476 adult recipie...

We read with great interest the article entitled “cadaver transplantation in recent era: is cadaveric graft survival similar to living kidney transplantation?” recently published in IJOTM by Simforoosh, et al [1]. The main message of this retrospective study is that one-year graft and patient survival rates in living donor kidney transplantation (LDKT) are similar to those of deceased donor kid...

INTRODUCTION The aim of this preliminary work is to analyze the clinical features of 52 patients with a functional transplanted kidney for >25 years (all first transplant and all deceased donor recipients) and to compare with a similar though more complete study from Hôpital Necker-Paris 2012. METHODS The mean graft survival at 25 years is 12.7% and at 30 years is 10%. The actual mean serum c...
متن کاملBlood transfusion in deceased donor kidney transplantation
BACKGROUND Given the unpredictable timing of deceased donor organs and the need for blood transfusion, this study was carried out to determine the rate and risk factors for transfusion in order to identifying a low-risk cohort in the face of a critical blood shortage. METHODS This retrospective chart review examined 306 consecutive deceased solitary kidney transplant recipients from January 2...

PURPOSE Alemtuzumab (Campath-1H), a humanized monoclonal antibody directed against CD52, is a lymphocyte-depleting agent currently being evaluated as an induction agent in solid organ transplantation. This study analyzed the clinical outcomes and effects on peripheral blood lymphocyte subset counts in adult deceased donor renal transplant recipients who received an alemtuzumab-based induction p...
